Frequently Asked Questions – Monoblock houses (A series)
A monoblock house is made from a single container, ready-configured and fully finished from the factory. It is part of the A series and is the most compact and affordable version of the FDC Container range, ideal for an efficient living space or a holiday home.
The A series includes four models: A01 (L × W: 4,00 × 2,40 m, 9,6 sq m), A02 (L × W: 6,00 × 2,40 m, 14,4 sq m), A03 and A04 (L × W: 9,00 × 2,40 m, 21,6 sq m). All have one room and a height of 2,70 m, making them suitable for compact living or accommodation.
The A series monoblock houses start at 2.930 euros + VAT for the A01 model and reach 6.570 euros + VAT for the A04 model. The final price depends on the level of insulation and the finishes and options chosen, and transportation and assembly are calculated separately, depending on the distance.
The A series models are configured as a one-room space. If you need a monoblock house that also includes a fully equipped bathroom, we recommend the B series (container houses with bathroom), also available as a single container.
Monoblock houses are suitable for compact living, vacation homes, mountain retreats, or tourist accommodations. They are a quick and affordable solution when you need a functional living space on a small surface area.
The standard insulation includes walls made of sandwich panels with 40 mm PIR foam and mineral wool in the ceiling and floor. Optionally, you can choose premium insulation, with 60, 80 or 100 mm PIR panels and mineral wool in the ceiling, for increased thermal comfort all year round.
Monoblock houses are designed as compact units, made up of a single container, and do not expand by cutting out walls. If you anticipate needing more space, we recommend the modular models (series C and D), which allow for horizontal expansion, or communicate your intention to expand during the bidding phase.
Heating is exclusively electric, through solutions installed during the production phase: heat convectors, dual-function air conditioning (heating and cooling) or underfloor heating. Heating requirements are communicated during the bidding phase.
No foundation is required, but the house must be placed on concrete slabs or pillars, 10-15 cm off the ground, for ventilation. The location must support the weight of the container and the unloading equipment, and the access road must be wide enough for the truck. These aspects are discussed before signing the contract.
